We are delighted to invite you to an exhibition opening organised by Stronach Gallery in Ginger & Wild Café, Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre on Saturday 17th June at 7.00pm.
The exhibition consits of black and white photographs by Con Monnich, that were taken in the winter of 1974 and represent people and places in Mayo from Castlebar, Westport and Ballycroy to Achill and Bellacorick, and drawings by Peti Buchel that portray people and places in the same areas.
Peti will give a short introduction to the work of both artists, Sean O’Donnell will talk about growing up in Ballycroy in 1974 and Willem van Goor will give us an insight into the inspirational challenges of being a foreign artist in the west of Ireland.
We look forward to seeing you for a promising evening of art and social history with some light refreshments,
Stronach Gallery, Ginger & Wild Café and all at Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre
