Since the beginning of December 2021 staff from NPWS have been busy surveying the distribution of Red Grouse in Ireland. The project aims to detect any changes in distribution since the last survey was carried out between 2006 and 2008. This survey will run until the 31st of March 2022. We're sad to say that the Ballycroy Visitor Centre is now closed for the 2021 season. Thanks for visiting and engaging with our Education Team in 2021. The grounds of the National Park remain open including the three trail access points at the Visitor Centre, Claggan Mountain and Letterkeen. We'll see you again in 2022!
